What time will my flower gift arrive?

All deliveries originate from our Toronto studio located at 2847 Dufferin Street (mid-central area of the city) and are delivered across the GTA between 1 and 6pm (schools by 3pm, offices by 5).  Holiday delivery hours may be broader (between 8am and 7pm).  Expedite and timed deliveries are often possible for certain areas when weather permits for no extra fee or a nominal fee depending on type of service required; call to find out more.

The delivery price varies depending on location (time and distance based on postal code). Delivery within most of downtown Toronto is $18. Neighborhood delivery is $14. Areas that require a longer travel are higher priced.  

We do our best to get your order out as quickly as we can. Keep in mind that, on occasion and depending on volumes, driver availability and weather, we can deliver your gift in a narrow window of time, however most deliveries take place between 10am and 4pm, and often as last as 6pm. We aim for schools first (by 3pm), businesses next (by 5PM), then  residential (by 6pm). Please add a note if you require expedite/super rush delivery to achieve a narrow delivery time frame.  We do our best to accommodate, and will refund the different between expedite and standard if we miss the mark.

What day will my flower gift be delivered?

We offer delivery Monday - Saturday, with Sunday delivery available on exceptional floral holidays such as Mother's Day and when holidays such as Valentine's, Passover, and Rosh Hashanna fall on Sunday.  Delivery starts at $14 and is based on distance and time.  

Can I have flowers delivered on the same day that I call you?

Yes, you most often can! Naturally, this will depend on the time of your call and the distance from our location.

Same Day Regular Delivery is most appropriate for orders placed before 11am on your chosen delivery date (yes, you can order days in advance!).  

Same Day "Rush" Delivery is often possible if ordering after 11am (additional fees may apply, but we can often send on the regular delivery service).  Calling us closer to the end of the day?  Your gift can be delivered by expedite courier or taxi when you order by 4pm, by phone (additional fees typically apply).  T

Timed Delivery is for gifts that need to arrive by a certain or narrow window of time (additional fees may apply to timed deliveries).  Alternatively, we invite you to contract a courier service to collect your gift from our store, so that you have ultimate control over pick up, routing, and delivery time.  We will ensure your gift is superbly and securely packaged, on time!

What if no one is at the address I give at the time of delivery?

Our Call Ahead Service is a best practice that protects your investment.  We call your recipient's home, office, or place of delivery to confirm that your chosen delivery date is a day that works for them.  Before calling them, we ask your permission for us to deliver on the day/date that is best for your recipient.)  This Call Ahead Service also allows us to verify the delivery details and make any necessary changes prior to attempting delivery.  

I want my gift to be a surprise.  Can you do that for me?

We get the wow factor in a surprise flower delivery!  So, yes, we can do that for you…in some circumstances.  If, at the time of delivery, the intended recipient is not at the address you provided, our driver will call the recipient’s phone number and/or leave the flowers on the property (weather permitting/safety permitting). If these options prove unworkable (subzero temperatures forcasted, in clear view of passersby), our driver will try to leave the flowers with a neighbour.  This saves you money* and achieves your preferred delivery date goal.  We follow up by calling the recipient and/or you.    

* Please note that by requesting us to not call prior to delivery, Terrain Flowers is not liable for incorrect or incomplete delivery instructions, or if the gift is left unattended due to vacation or other absence of the recipient.  Based on experience and knowledge, the driver may choose to re-route back to our studio for an end-of-day or next-day delivery attempt.   Flowers brought back to Terrain Flowers will incur a re-direct fee and second delivery fee (which is two times the regular delivery fee).  That’s why we offer our Call Ahead Service.  Smart, huh?!
